Has anyone installed Windows 7 on their EVO N610c Laptop? My brother in law has this laptop and is interested in upgrading. I have an extra key i can give him for the Home Premium but I want to know what to expect (drivers I may need after installing, performance, etc..) before we go down that route. So far i've come up empty!

Even my golden oldie n410c ran Win7 just as well as WinXP (1Ghz P3m, 768MB, 64MB mobile radeon).

You can test-drive Win70 for 30 days, just install and do not enter any key. That's good time to see if you want to keep Win7 on it.

    Thanks!

I figured it would run ok, the system has 1GB ram and it's a P4 Mobile CPU. I'm more interested in drivers issues specifically with the N610c: If Windows 7 has all the drivers included or will I need to hunt down a few after the install.

Can't think any specific problem. Possible missing drivers would be bluetooth, infrared receiver, in some cases sound card and wlan. All of those are rather easy to find. It's more likely to install all of those automatically anyways :)
