I am returning the DV 1000 I bought from HP as I wasn't happy with their warranty and, instead, I bought exactly the same model from Best Buy. Is it possible to use Norton Ghost to make a copy of the original hard drive and, then, successfully copy it to the new DV 1000 so that I don't have to manually install everything again? I have read that there could be big problems when trying to do this between two machines as hardware, motherboards, etc. could be different but these have exactly the same specs. Would there be a problem with Windows XP? And, if this would work, would I use Norton Backup/Restore or Clone? Or is there another program that would transfer not only settings but also passwords for Firefox, too. I've used InteliMover but that doesn't recognize Firefox. Thanks.
