    Eject key no longer works? Solution here:

    I posted this before in the 17 thread, but since no one responded and I can't really find good answers elsewhere, I figured I'd start a new thread. It is, after all, not necessarily a 17-exclusive problem.

    After installing a new optical drive, I cannot eject discs with the eject key. I would prefer this for simplicity's sake. Does anyone know how I can get that key to do this function again? Thanks.

    Free EjectCD Download

    If you install that, create a shortcut on the desktop, right-click on it and assign a shortcut command in the properties menu, you can eject a CD with the push of a button. Most combinations are Ctrl + Alt + (insert key). I chose the minus sign on the number pad, which allows me to push just one button.
