    I have an 8530p and was wondering if I can use it to connect to my LCD TV to use it as a monitor????

    yes, that's why the HDMI port is built in your notebook. (only if the LCD TV has the HDMI input port)

    btw, how long is your battery last? (when surfing the internet, using MS office)?
