    DV9774ca.
OK, did clean Vista install today. Went excellent, runs great.
I have a copy of the SWSETUP folder. I installed QPW for Quickplay, also I installed Qtouch.
I have working onscreen display of volume level, and I can lower and raise volume with the - and + buttons.
I can mute with the mute button and it works, the volume/speaker icon next to the clock will show it is muted....but how do I get the LED on the mute button to turn orange again when muted?
    Have rebooted, no help.

    Thanks.

Update the quick launch buttons driver - it will help.

OK, thanks for the help, but I fixed it inadvertantly.....I was trying to get the mic to work. The audio driver was the generic Microsoft driver. I never thought twice because I had sound from the speakers for video I tried earlier. So just now I was setting up my mic for Skype and realised I had to actually iinstal the realtek audio drivers. Having done that for the mic to work I now see that the orange LED works if I mute the volume.
I'd have never realised a actual audio driver would affect the way the light works on a mute button.

Conexant audio drivers is what controls the blue/orange mute button not QLB :)
