I have a dv6000 series HP notebook. I want to record with the webcam but can't. I must have turned something off when when tweaking in the start-up and services menus. I'm not sure what I need to turn back on.
Can someone please advise? Thank you.

No, when I click on the shortcut for the HP webcam, it opens QuickPlay. But there is no way to access the camera.

click start orb, search and type "device manager" and go to the webcam device. maybe you disabled webcam.

Same situation here on dv9700 vista, webcam can not be recognized in any program, in quickplay there is no button for cam eater. Device is also not listed in device managed, I believe problem is in drivers, but until now noting has worked. Any ideas ?
A bit disappointed by this Hp....
