I recently purchased the zv5430us and am looking to upgrade it, but can't decide where to begin. Does anyone have any suggestions? Where do I obtain the most "bang for the buck"? Do I go for more memory taking 512 to 1 Gig?

Is there any enhancements you may suggest are definately worth looking into?

I was disapointed to find a SD memory reader, since I have a digital camera with Compact Flash memory. Can I replace that with a Compact Flash Type 2 rader?

I appreciate any advise you can give. Thank you for your assistance in advance....

When it comes to notebooks, really the easiest and best way to upgrade is via more memory or a faster hard drive. 512MB is good, but 1.0GB could give you a noticeable boost. If you have a 4200 RPM hard drive, then a 7200 RPM hard drive will speed boot time and general performance for you. Processor and graphics card upgrades are tough to impossible for the zv5000.

my wife just got the zv5430... works great, i'm not a fan of the shinny screen, but its all good... she's probably going to upgrade the ram in the future.

on a side note. the HP care system program on the laptop says model zv5200, but eveything else says the 5000 or 5430... do you know why it would say 5200?

    thanks
