    Hello Comrads,

I think the connection for my webcam is loose or faulty, and I'm wondering if anyone that has had these things torn apart can tell me if it's a soldered connection or a plug style connector?

The issue I'm having is when doing Skype, or using the webcam mic for voice chat in games, if the screen gets moved or bumped it can cause the webcam to go haywire, and sometimes not work altogether. When doing video on Skype I can see my signal look like the old scrambled analog TV signals of the past. Sometimes moving the screen around will fix it.. sometimes it just makes it shut down altogether to the point the PC doesn't detect a webcam at all.

As a quick fix I bought an external webcam to use when using Skype, but ultimately I'd like to have my laptop fully functional since I also use it for voice chat in games.

Anyone else had a similar problem, or can answer my original question of possibly tearing it down and fixing it?

    Thanks!
