    Hey,

I have been using my Envy 14 for approximately 2 months and I am quite happy with the machine.

As always there is one thing that kills my joy, unfortunately my laptop crashes at different scenarios: like watching a movie from external drive or just simply surfing on mozilla, or just listing to a music stream without touching the device at all.

When that happens it just stucks, u hear a noise that stays up (u know, just when the playback is stopped and the noise is continued playing but just always the same tone).

Then it makes after playing this sound for around 10-15 seconds and automatic restart and says during the boot process, Windows hasnt been shutdown properly and I can choose between supported launch and unsupported.

Unfortunately, even if there is sth repaired (using supported start up), the machine still crashes.

I thought it has to do sth with Windows so I installed Windows new, but unfortunately no change ...

    This is what Windows says:

I dont know what to do and I would appreciate ur help!

Could this be a reason as well, why my Windows is sometimes crashing during boot process and I have to unplug the battery to get it going again?

    Thanks in advance!

That happens to me as well, pretty much exactly as you describe. Always, it's when I'm watching Netflix streaming video. Doesn't happen often, but it's always consistent when it does.

I have none. I exchanged my Beats Edition incidentally, even though it was fine (didn't need the headphones or the 8GB RAM, so took advantage of the resulting price reduction) and I'll report back on if this machine has the same problem.
