    Hey guys I have a weird dilemma I would like to share with you, hear me out :)

    My Envy 14 specs are:
    i450m
    5650m
    4 gb ram

    My current Bad company 2 settings are textures/effects/quality all on high, the game is on forced DX10, shadows on low and bloom is ON.

    Now I see absolutely NO difference having the resolution at 720p or native (1600 x 900). The FPS for both resolutions are about a max of 60 and a low of 30.05. The FPS NEVER has gone below 30 and I'm absolutely loving the performance :)

    However, my question is why is there no difference between the two resolution? I kind of want to reduce my resolution so I can get 40+ all the time, but I am kind of curious as to why I don't see a performance boost?

    Thank you! Much appreciated :)

    EDIT: Does it have anything to do with bottlenecking? Is the i5 450 bottlenecking the CPU or the other way around?

    Hi, I am just wondering how you managed to get such good FPS with Bad Company 2. I've played the game for over a year now and never have managed to get over 40 FPS. Its generally around 15-30 and drops below 10 when there's a lot of action. Funny thing is, my Envy 14 also has 4gb ram but an i520.

    I have tried the bloom, forcing it into DX10 and changing the settings to high but still not improvement. Is there anything on CCC that needs to be changed at all? Did you OC graphics card at all? Please share :)

    I too am wondering how you got 60FPS. I get around 40-50FPS with 1366x768 and drops to 20FPS with a lot of water action + dust.

    I am running a i5 580M and 8GB RAM with an overclocked 5650m.

    Well I used to have performance like you guys but recently I did a clean install on me E14 and redid the 5650, drivers and things really sped up.
    Either that or you guys are experiencing the "power play" glitch and you should reset it.

    My BFBC2 settings.ini looks like this:

    [WindowSettings]
    Width=1600
    Height=900
    Fullscreen=true
    RefreshRate=60
    VSync=false
    [Sound]
    Quality=high
    VoipEnable=false
    SpeakerCount=0
    [Graphics]
    Effects=high
    Soldiers=high
    Vehicles=high
    Overgrowth=high
    Undergrowth=high
    StaticObjects=high
    Terrain=high
    Shadows=low
    Bloom=true
    HSAO=false
    MSAA=0
    Water=high
    MainQuality=custom
    Texture=high
    DxVersion=10
    Aniso=0
    Detail=high
    RenderAheadLimit=0
    Fov=65

    Be sure to set shadows on LOW!
    Um, yeah that is my settings. 99.9% of the time, I dont go below 30 FPS avg is about 33 and sometimes it can go as high as 50-60

    Would disabling PowerPlay reduce my GPU lag in Guild Wars? GW is an old game, but the performance differences are negligible when comparing the performance of the the dedicated GPU and the integrated GPU.

    Ok, I tried your setting on 1366x768, and weirdly I get higher FPS. Highest I've gotten was 130FPS, lowest was around 35FPS, with lots of action it's around 40-50FPS, hovers around 60-70FPS usually.

    How do you check your Specs on the game's performance?
