Best price I've seen on Envy 14 so far. Stolen from Slickdeals.
HP Official Store — Buy and Customize your HP ENVY 14 beats edition series PC direct from HP
And use coupon code NB98223
HP ENVY 14 beats edition series (i5, 4GB DDR3, 640GB HD, 1GB ATI) For $574.99 @ hp.com - Slickdeals.net
-
Nice find. Looks like HP's getting ready to dump all their first-generation core notebooks and finally transition to Sandy Bridge with all these coupons.
-
Wow that's pretty cheap. Why is HP offering this laptop for $775 all of a sudden? Do you think they will raise the price back up soon?
I wonder if I should jump on this deal... -
Shame there is no radiance display option. Also, looks like the coupon might be an error:
"Save $200 in instant savings using coupon code NB98223 for the purchase of a customized HP ENVY 14 Beats Laptop configured at $1,149 or greater at the HP Home & Home Office Store."
It's working for configured models that are under $1,149 (in this case, it works for the $774.99 priced model)
Edit: Coupon was indeed an error, doesn't work with the $775 config
Was just about to buy too.. -
This coupon doesn't seem to be working now.. Atleast not for me.
-
Yeah, the coupon died for me too.
Some yahoo on SD called HP and they said they would cancel the orders. Although, they frequently say that and the orders go through anyway.
Nice deal if it goes through. I am jealous. -
That means that all the codes got used; you didn't jump on it in time.
-
HP must have messed up the promotion and just figured it out. That sounded to good to be true
At that price I woulda bought one for my wife in a heartbeat, even with the lower resolution screen. -
I know that there are HP coupons that last a certain number of uses. I hope for the lucky ones this is valid. -
-
Sorry guys, I thought a few people might be able to jump. I'd rather NBR folks got this than SD freaks.
-
Apparently some people at SD are getting declined orders. Wonder if all orders will be declined?
-
Honestly, $775 is still a good deal for this seeing as how the Beats edition was $1,049 yesterday. I'm considering jumping on it and selling my Dell latitude Z. I guess I could sell my PS3 as well since I could game on the Envy 100%. I sell/trade in my PS3 games once I finish them, so I have some Amazon.com credits to buy some PC games.
Edit: I doubt there will be any chassis changes in terms of form factor (for the expected Sandy Bridge refresh) because a tech blog would have leaked it already. HP themselves could have leaked that info to gauge consumer interest. -
I have been getting very sick of SD for the last couple years.
Pointless really. Posting a deal on SD is a guarantee it will be ruined.
I post here or HardForum first. I post where the helpful people are. -
Seems there just might be something wrong with the page. Ordered mine a few hours ago at base config with a student discount and received a decline message like 40 min later.
-
-
Wow 574...that's amazing.
-
Yeah, I get a lot of good deals on SD....the problem is, a lot of people on it are deal addicts. They will buy a computer regardless of whether they want it or not, and brag about the deal in their forum signature. Extremely lame.
-
I picked one of these up for 574. It is in production already. Cannot wait to receive it...Yeah the new Sandy Bridge ones are coming but not at this price.
-
the beats is back to its normal price now
-
-
Yeah damn the i5 option is gone. Too late
-
oh and it no longer comes with the slim charger, it comes with the regular one. You have to pay $60 now for the slim adapter.
-
Oh my god, I can't believe people actually managed to get a better deal than the 749.99 vanilla hp envy 14. On top of that, the beats edition as well.
AAAhhh, how did I miss this deal. -
During the great Radiance debacle of 2011 I was able to get my Envy 14 (brightview, i5-580, single dimm 4GB) for $650 and I never thought I'd see lower than that.
Still don't know if the price difference is worth tolerating that gaudy Beats branding. Ugh. -
-
I also like the rubbery surface around the keyboard. I bought the dv6t before returning and buying the envy and the dv6tse had a metal design that trapped dust and I live in a dusty place.
-
Definitely gaudy. Not only that, but Beats is basically the definition of mediocre technology wrapped in marketing with a huge markup. I mean, they're a Monster Cable brand after all... -
It borders on gaudy imo. Remove that dang beats Logo and add a white keyboard backlight and I'd be on it.
-
-
Honestly, keep the color scheme and remove all association with Beats and people wouldn't complain about it being "gaudy". At least there's not a piercingly glowing logo like I've seen on other laptops (normal ENVY 14 is one of them). -
Envy 14 Beats for $574
