Have myself an i5 Envy 14 first generation and a radiance screen; took the screen apart only to discover the wiring is different. Was wondering is it possible to replace it to begin with, and if so what tools do I need?

No, wires are different. Try booting your envy up with the BV wire in the radiance screen. When I did this, every other pixel line was white. Tell us what happens to yours if you can.
Anyhow, until we find a radiance display cable it's impossible. -
please could someone comment on the current progress with this. I have just made the possible mistake of importing the radiance screen to into the uk (just the screen) under the assumption that it could be fitted properly. Im more than happy to buy extra parts or even the housing for the screen. i just want my radiance display :|

Buy a Samsung Series 7. "Superior LCD" might be even better!

I posted this link in the general forum and I am wondering if the cable kit would include the proper connector for the Radiance screen? I plugged in my model/serial which is Envy 14 with Radiance and these are the parts it turned up. Unless the MB connectors are different on the BV. Worth a shot maybe. I priced the kit and it was like $70 so not sure how many/what kind of cables it might have. If this has been investigated already, apologies.
