    Hi All,

I'm having mucho problems with my envy's combo mic/headset port. I spent about $100 just trying to get this to work. First, I bought two separate headsets that each had two plugs (audio and microphone), then I learned about the combo port and bought the wrong kind of adapter, then I finally bought one that should be compatible, but it isn't!

I've tried every audio configuration I can think of, via both the beats control panel and the windows panels, but nothing works. I even reinstalled the envy 14's audio drivers several times.

This is the product I ended up with:

    Amazon.com: StarTech.com MUYHSMFF 3.5mm 4-Pin to 2x 3-Pin 3.5mm Headset Splitter Adapter - M/F: Electronics

...Help! Please! I don't want to spend any more money on this.

Have you tested it personally? Are there any forum posts confirming that it works with the envy 14?

I know I'm being a bit paranoid, but after spending $100 on this, I want to make sure before I buy anything else.

Hey all, just want to confirm that this adapter works 100% out of the box, no issues, like magic. It is so cool to to have something just work after all of the time and money I've spent on this!
