    Hi guys, i have couple question before buying the envy14.
    My budget is only 1k
    Core i3 or i5, what's the different cuz they're basically dual core, which consume more power out of your battery?
    Does the keyboard light up like Macbook?
    How many megapixel is the webcame?

    Core i5 has Turbo-boost, which speeds up the processor when needed. As for the difference between i3 and i5 for battery consumption, I'd say the difference is negligible.

    It has a backlit keyboard.

    The webcam is 1.3 MP.

    Oh, and as for your budget, if you only have 1k to spend, I would recommend something cheaper with the same power, like the Acer TimelineX 4820TG. Unless you REALLY need the backlit keyboard and the aluminum chassis.

    Does it have Intel's speedstep? or intel alternate card for more battery life when i'm not gaming?
