    Hey guys,

So I am loving my new Envy(with Radiance display), and the stock battery isn't bad (I'm getting about 4 hours with web browsing, some Office applications and emails), but I am thinking about getting the slice batter, just to have for longer trips, or days when I don't want to lug my battery charger around.

My question is for people who have the slice battery. I am wondering how much bulk it adds to the computer (yes, I have read the specs about the dimensions and weight, but that doesn't relate to real world perspective). For anyone who has one, what are you thoughts of it? I think the computer is pretty thin and light as it is, coming from a 4 year old DV6000. Does the slice really cut down on the portability that much?

I'm interested to hear what you all have to say about it. Thank you for your responses! :)

Portability? No unless you are weak. I keep mine in my back pack until I need the extra power just cause I like how it looks without it. Other than that it gives me 4 extra hours with my long class days.

I love it, the Envy is already thin as it is so adding the slice doesn't make it too thick..it does get noticeably heavier but I can live with it, only problem is that the added weight is annoying when using the Envy on your lap for longs periods of time..its perfectly fine on a desk though

I just started using one and I love it.
Just be sure to order it from the HP parts store, you will pay much less for it.

Agree with everything above. Must have accessory.
