Has anyone experienced when they have the ATI graphics selected they get screen artifacting when putting slight pressure on the case between the track pad and the space bar. I get bars of vertical lines. Does anyone know if there is a connector or something under there which could be causing this? I have a slightly older 14 with the radiance display and dont want to take the chance of sending it in and loosing it.

Could be a bad video cable. Have you looked at the service manual listed on page 1 on the Owner's thread? You will be able to determine what is in that area.

In the Service Manual, the region in the middle of the keyboard is where the GPU is located. I think the cable is the culprit like you said.
