Anyone know of a supplier for an anti glare screen for the Envy 14? If not, does someone have the measurements of the screen so I can order one custom made. Would love to have one that fits with the rounded corners. The glare is insane on mine!

    I'll gladly second this post.

I don't have my Envy 14 yet, but in the videos I've seen, the glare looks seriously intense. I'd rather not have to run my Envy 14 at 100% brightness all the time, I can imagine that would cause a big hit on battery life. Having a protector that fit the rounded edges would be awesome.

I'm typing this from a Dell Vostro 3400 with a matte screen, and I love it. I can sit with a bright overhead light behind me, and on 50% brightness I can still see everything just fine.

Viewguard should have one soon, last time i spoke them said it was going to take 5-6 weeks and that was two weeks ago.

Haven't got mine yet, but I really do dislike glossy screens, though matte barely exists these days. Someone post pics when they get one for their Envy 14.

    Bump.

Has anyone found an anti-glare film for the envy's? I really hate the glare when I'm outside.

The closest I found without being more than $20 was this one:
    Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protector 14'' HP Envy 14 14t bei eBay.de: Other (endet 12.05.11 18:09:51 MESZ)

Wasn't really sure what "only covers visibile screen part" meant so I asked and here's the answer:

Yea I saw that but I figured it was something weird since it was saying it only covers the screen part.

Does anyone have any experience with these types of anti-glare films on laptops?

isnt the screen part the most important ?
I dont think glare on the black part is very annoying.

However I agree it might be a bit unsightly to see the edge of the film .

Yea it would be nice to have the black bezel still be shiny but I think it would be weird looking at the film edge. It just hit me that the film would need to have a cut out for the webcam too. I wonder if I can just buy some anti-glare film somewhere and make my own

I think some people just want it to also cover the black bezelless portion so that the screen retains its edge-to-edge look. Of course, webcam users may find themselves having to cut a hole around the webcam spot.
