I've searched the threads up and down and am not seeing much commentary from anyone interested in getting WiDi to work with the Envy 14. I'll relate my own experience: bought the D-Link "push2tv" adapter, installed every driver I could find (including Intel's wireless display software), and still had no luck getting the Envy to recognize the wireless receiver.

Returned the adapter yesterday, but I'm still hung up on the fact that, based on requirements stated by Intel this should work! Anyone else had any luck?

On the Intel Website it says:
"IntelĀ® My WiFi Technology and Intel Wireless Display must be pre-installed and enabled"

I don't think there is a way round getting WiDi to work on other Laptops, otherwise I am sure there would be may guides and How-To's out there

But why, oh why, would they do that? You would think they would see a huge opportunity in spreading this technology to the masses of minimum-spec-meeting pc's out there, not to mention the uplift on sales of the D-Link box.

Arggh. Does anyone know of any other wireless audio/video solution out there that doesn't break the bank?
