I installed a killer nic 1103 and when I started it up I get an error that says the adapter isn't supported and I have to remove it.

This there a workaround? That is bs if I can't use it

It's not going to work. HP has a whitelist in their BIOS that prevents any aftermarket cards from being installed.

Hmmm any patched BIOS' that can unlist it? Or can I change the killer nics ID somehow?

There was a modded BIOS floating around, but it didn't actually remove the whitelist. As for changing the NIC's ID, I imagine that would both be difficult and cause the target driver to not recognize your killer NIC.

And if the tech-guy on BIOS-mod which wild05kid05 kindly referred to doesn't have it, you can post a request to remove the whitelist on My Digital Life's forum.

    BIOS Mods

There are many talented individuals over there that have done a number of BIOS mods.

I recommend you to go over bios-mod. They will dedicatedly handle your request. DigitalLife is just so messy :D

LOL. Perhaps. But I got two custom BIOS mods from there that you couldn't get anywhere else. Such as special advanced menu for DV5 and a BIOS with Dual IDA enabled (among other goodies) along with whitelist removal. Gotta say, TTAV134 is one talented fella.

    Nando4 also deserves props.
