From looking around online and searching the forums it looks like the only two options for an anti-glare film are these two...

    Viewguard
Page still says it's on pre-order. (maybe just hasn't been updated)

    or

    PhotoDon
This one is for the 14.5 dv5, which has the same aspect ratio, but i'm not sure if it would fit as nicely as an envy 14 specific one because of the difference in the edge-to-edge display

Does anyone have one of these or have at least a film from these companies?

The viewguard isn't going to cover anything more than the screen... What I did was ordered a larger screen protector (from viewguard) and cut it down to size... looks crappy but the area protecting the screen installed flawless, around the edge looks bad, but whatever, its protected.

Moral of the story, you aren't going to find a screen protector that will cover the WHOLE screen, believe me, I tried.

I wasn't worried about covering the bezel, I was just thinking more along the lines of the dv5 one might be slightly undersized in order to fit inside the bezel whereas another one may not be

I guess what I'm curious about is just the quality of the product from these two companies

Well you have a few options. You could go a size larger and go over the bezel. But the viewguard should fit, I emailed them about making a protector for the envy 14, and the 14.5 one is what they refereed to.

As for quality, I have the clear protector, but it is high quality and I really like it. I would assume the anti-glare would be on par.

Yes it is an old threat, but maybe for those searching you could give us a bit of insight on what size purchased seemed good at attempting makeshift "perfect" screen protector size.

Well If you are looking for a "perfect" screen protector, I recommend that you don't try to cut your own. However, if you decide to, I believe I bought the 19 inch widescreen version. I then made a template with some poster board from walmart and cut it down.

If you decide to go that route, I recommend you get a compass so you can round the corners good. Also make sure you have a good straight edge and a SHARP utility knife. You may end up with some bubbling on the edges (like I did) from when you cut it down.

I did mine mostly by freehand, and its not the best looking, but it gets the job done.
