Last night, I attempted to update the BIOS of my HP Envy 14t-1000 from F.23 to F.26. The updater seemed to have successfully flashed the BIOS, but I have been unable to start the laptop since then. When the laptop is powered up, the screen does not turn on, the caps lock key starts blinking at a steady rate of once every 2 seconds, and the fans begin spinning at full speed.

Can anyone please help me with this issue?

See if anything on this page might help. Most of the laptops have some type of bios recovery; it is just figuring out how to access it that is the problem. The last known good bios should be stored in HPTools so perhaps it can reset to that. Also, some posters have suggested holding down the four arrow keys +power switch if the suggestions on linked page don't help. Other than that you might have to send the laptop to HP for a bios flash--have you called tech support to see what they might suggest?

Believe the bios can also be recovered using a USB flash drive in some manner but thankfully haven't needed to try it myself. I saved a couple of other pages for future reference but try the one from HP first. Good luck.

Check your RAM. Also take out CMOS battery (the round CR2032) and place back. Your BIOS is corrupted.
