I received my envy 14" and the hinges seem to be a little weak. The screen moves rather easily, sometimes on its own. My question is for other owners, if you have your screen at 90 degrees, does your screen move with gravity when you tilt the computer vertical?

I am wondering if I have faulty hinges that arent as strong as they should be.

to me, the hinges on my 14 feel very sturdy. definitely not as tight as the last lenovo i had last, but I've never feared it tiling during use.

I just did the test you suggested and my screen will tilt back ~2cm (circumference). It won't go any further than that one point though. it is nothing my laptop would ever endure in the real world though. I think a lot of it has to do simply with how heavy the metal casing (specifically on the back of the screen) is.

If it bothers you I would suggest taking apart the laptop and finding the screws on the hinges and tightening them by about 1/4 turn until you find a comfortable resistance.

Thanks guys. I am glad to hear their is a way to adjust the screws. Hoping to make this adjustment when I install a radiance panel if I can ever find one!
