So, I replaced my Beats Envy edition with a standard Envy 14 for a few reasons unrelated to the machine itself (namely, the desire to save some money), and my new E14 doesn't have QuickWeb installed. I thought it was strange that the Beats Edition didn't have it, but now I'm wondering if they haven't simply dropped it from all of the machines.

Does anyone with a newer Envy 14 (say, a Core i5-460m) have QuickWeb installed? Mine doesn't have the software installed, or the option to enable it in the BIOS.

    Bizarre...

Makes sense that they would, since to my mind it doesn't really bring any value. I just wonder why it's taking them so long to update the Web site to reflect the change.

Just curious what BIOS version you have that has the QuickWeb removed? Do the new ENVY 14's have a different BIOS from the old ones?

I think it's more of a "it was never installed or something so it just doesn't work"

    thing.

I have quickweb still in my bios options on my launch envy 14 with the latest bios (F.13)

starting with the beats release they got rid of it and the bios knows that it's not there/available so there is no option for it in the bios.

so wynand32.. how do you like the regular envy compared to the beats edition ? I am thinking of excahnging mine as I am getting annoyed with all those finger print magnet...

Does the regular envy has the some audio quality ?
Does it have "fence" ? it is the feature which can hide all the icon on ur desktop

I personally have never used a Beats Envy, but I have the "regular" Envy. As far as I have read both Envys have the exact same audio features, the only real difference between the two are the exterior aesthetic variations. And yes, the "regular" Envy does come with Fences, Stardock, etc., preinstalled. At least it did when I purchased my Envy a couple of months ago.

If I am wrong on any accounts someone please correct me.
