I'm really excited to see the Envy 14 as I recently found out its my only 14.5 inch gaming capable option,
I was just wondering if the Radeon HD 5650 was a standard feature or if it would cost more than the $999,
Also how much do you think a high i-5 (dual @2.56 ghz @2.56 ghz) or a i-7 upgrade will cost?
I'm wondering how much its going to be for an optimized system, (>4 gb ram, ~320 gb hard drive, higher graphics card available, powerful-most powerful processor, higher end screen)
I hope that doesn't end up doubling the price...

If its a dedicated graphics card then you can run any game that supports that card + Cpu.

This laptop will not have the i7 option based on pre-release specs.
Refer to the HP Envy 14 thread for all your questions.
Edit: Looks like it is confirmed for the i7 720 at least in singapore. Still not sure if we'll get the same offering state side. *crossing figers* -
One day left now. Turtle is almost there!!!

What an epic fail of a blurry turtle :/
No HD? -
The 5650 is a standard feature, but I'd advise against getting a higher i5. This benchmark shows that for pretty much everything except whatever it is the comms suite tests for (not gaming or anything else seemingly useful) the i5s are more or less the same, the guess I've heard is 100 for the lower i5 and 150 for the upper i5. Don't waste your money. If you are considering the i7 which may or may not be an option, bear in mind that you won't have integrated graphics which means terrible battery life.

That turtle is moving soooooo fast it just can't be captured clearly. That's not an epic fail...it's epic speed. LOL -

For some reason I always think of this song when I see that image:
