    Hi all,

I have a dilemma here where I don't know whether to choose between the HP Envy 14 and the HP Pavilion DV6. Here in Hong Kong there is no option for Full HD on the DV6 so the only real difference is the graphics card (AMD 6630M vs AMD 6770M). I don't really game a lot on PC and I like the envy for its build quality and backlit keyboard, however I read on other forums that the DV6 seems to be the preferred choice.

What should I choose? Build quality? or Graphics Card?

For a short time, I thought the same thing. If I am assuming that by "build quality", you are referencing the Envy? Don't know if I agree with you there. The dv6 is a pretty solid build, IMO. But for me, the dv6 offered better overall security with the fingerprint reader. I'll never buy another notebook again without one. That was the deal-breaker there in considering the Envy. The backlit keyboard is nice and I wish the Pavilion had the feature again - but, for me, it is just cosmetic and the reader was a more useful, practical option.

Thanks for the reply. True I heard the fingerprint reader is quite useful. I'll probably get the DV6 then. Hong Kong's only got the Beats edition of the Envy 14 too, and I prefer the original silver design on that. But anyway, I guess the practical use of the DV6 wins out against the Envy.
