has anyone purchased a 3m privacy filter for the 14? I'm thinking of getting one and it'd be nice to know what other people's experience is.

The good news is because the envy's screen is flush with the bevel (whatever the black border is) the filter size isn't all that important (especially because 14.5 is a super non-standard screen size...)

bumping for interest. I would really like to get a screen protector for my 14 as well but I want something that's cut for the Envy 14. Any leads?

On a similar note, has anybody tried a Viewguard Anti-glare matte screen protector on their E14? Does it dim the display or reduce the image quality at all? I'm not sure if I can get one any sooner than late January, when my sister comes to visit me in China, but the glare reduction would probably help me save some battery life, since I have to kick up the brightness to beat glare sometimes, and even in plugged-in situations, it would be nice to have glare reduction, as full brightness still shows reflections sometimes.

I spoke with them a few days ago and they emailed me back saying they should have a 14.5" to pre-order soon.

Update: I just got a 15.4" 3m Gold privacy filter for my envy 14.

It fits reasonably well (considering the envy's not designed for a privacy screen)

I also ordered some double sided tape so I can DIY some mounts- because the Filter's designed for laptops with the (obnoxious) plastic bevel around the screen.

It works nicely though and I recommend it for anyone thinking of buying one (especially if you're in public placed a lot...)

Good to know that Viewguards will support the Envy's screen soon. Anybody have any experience with them on a glossy screen? If it's going to significantly impact image quality or brightness, I'll do without, but if it's just going to reduce glare, I don't see why anybody would blink at buying one.

I guess they didn't give any info on the actual dimensions on the 14.5"/16x9, though? I think I'd prefer to have one that covers the whole E2E bezel, rather than just the display portion, so I might end up buying a larger size anyway and cutting it down a bit.

here's the filter on my screen, i havent put all of the little sticky tabs on there yet but it fits and sits nicely even without them

I bought a roll of the thick paddy double sided tape because the envy doesnt have a bevel (obv) so i figured i'd diy it...
