After reading the stellar reviews about the HP Envy 14, I decided to price one out and make a purchase. A key feature was the optional 1600 x 900 LED display. To my surprise yesterday when I was pricing one out, this optional display is no longer available. I called Sales and the representative told me that it was available just a couple of days ago, but could not offer an explanation why it was not available anymore nor would she inquire further stating she would not be given a suitable answer.

Can anyone tell me why the optional 1600 x 900 LED display for the Envy 14 is no longer available or if it will be coming back?

I will not purchase this laptop without this option, so I guess I am back to square one. Thank you.

Thank you for your replies. I read the other thread and I guess I will sit by the sidelines and observe what develops. I will not purchase this laptop without the higher respolution display.
