Hii,
I wondered if it's possible to OC your CPU part.
I own a i7 720QM and it's pretty fast, but it only clocks @ 2.4ghz when dualcore mode hits in. That's quite low, considering a i3 part can already get those speeds.
Anyway I read things about clockgen and setfsb. But it seems you need a PLL number to get it work. I don't know the number is motherboard or CPU related?
Anyway does someone managed to OC the cpu of the envy 15? I would already be happy with a 2.53ghz or 2.66ghz speed...
Now let's talk about GPU oc. I currently have the 1st gen of the envy 15, which included a 4830 mobility.
I already managed to get 567/999 with a nice overclock. But I wonder if it can't go further? I get artifacts around 1020 memory, but temps while running 3dmark are just around 65C. Whould a higher voltage be a solution? (1V instead of 0.95V)
But with AMD GPU clock tool you can only select one option. Any ideas to oc further or change the voltage (lower voltage can also be good for battery!)
I would like to do it on a nonBIOS way, but if there is no other solution... tell me
What about radeon bios editor (RBE) program?
Thanks,
Devenox

currently there is no way to overclock any of the new ix cpus.... and you are not able to change the voltage on mobile gpus

It's possible on some mobile cards, in both ways (under and overclocking)

bump? Any one found the pll?

Edit: Oh never mind on the voltage count. You got a 4830, so that explains the .95v. Mah bad, but the explanation of a +.5v boost still stands.
