    Envy 15 - constant static/noise through headphones?

    So, I'm probably not going to get this laptop now, but I was able to play around with an Envy 15-3040 recently and I noticed that when the headphones were in, I could hear a noticeable static/noise in the background (and a slight beep sound when the headphones were plugged into the jack). Type of headphones didn't seem to make a difference nor did messing with any of the sound settings.

    So...: consistent problem across all Envy's or particular to the machine I used?

    I recognize that you have to be pretty OCD to notice or care about such a thing, but I have annoyingly high standards :eek:
