Just checked. HP USA direct shopping website no longer shows HP Envy15.

There's only 14 and 17, with Beats edition.

Is the refresh of the Envy 15 line imminent, or will it be discontinued?

I hope it has a better battery life and switchable graphics, that would make up for the new Envy 14.

New version with switchable graphics, backlite keyboard, and INTERNAL bluray drive. Oh, and of course beats audio.

According to an HP phone sales rep:

"The Envy 13 and Envy 15 will no longer be sold by HP. They have both been discontinued permanently. You can only buy Envy 14 or 17 from now on."

    Me: WTH, are you sure?

He checked with his supervisor and put me on hold for a while.

Phone Rep: If it becomes available again, it may be a 2nd generation of the product. We can't guarantee that the same Envy 15 will be available.

Me: Do you mean the 3rd generation? And are you saying that it is confirmed that there will be another version of the 15" Envy available at some point, or is it possible that it's permanently discontinued?

Phone Rep: There will be a different version, but I have no timeline on when it will become available.

All I know is, they'd better bring the Envy 15 back with the option for a FHD matte screen. Its the deal breaker for me, and its the only laptop on earth with that option (besides the macbook pro).

Engadget is reporting that the 13 and 15 are gone for good and never coming back, ever ever ever. The 14 and 17 are meant to replace them.

Some people on the forum have said that they spoke to reps who first said that they were permanently discontinued but then they said they were going to introduce a new Envy 15 some time in the future.

Also, when the Envy 14 and 17 were first announced, HP said that they were only going to discontinue the 13.

Just read that and its slightly retarded......... my friend is coming from a crapple macbook pro and This line is the best build quality for him. The 14 is slightly lacking in the gaming department and the 17 is just too big. The 15 would have been perfect DVD drive or no dvd drive.

    You mean here?

They're not really suggesting that the 15 will never be offered again.

all HP sites had removed the drivers download too!

What happened on this Envy 15?

My old 8510w is still available for driver updating!

I wonder why would they remove the drivers? That makes no sense, even if they are not selling it anymore, that does not mean that existing customers won't need the drivers.

I did search the driver's update for my 1107tx but failed to find it from all HP sites. Today, when search for 1100, just find there are seven drivers sub-site available for Envy 15 but no one for my 1107TX.
