This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Envy 15/17 Sata motherboard cables compatible to DV6/DV7 ... others?

    Hi,
    are the internal SATA mainboard connector cables for
    Envy 15T
    Envy 17 3000
    ... or other Envys for that matter ...
    compatible to other notebooks such as DV6 or DV7, or other HP / non-HP notebooks?
    If so - does anybody have any information how they are called? Is this a de-facto standard used by many notebook manufacturers / contract factories?

    I am trying to find compatible ones... shorter and longer ideally.

    There seems to be no seller for the Envy 15t, and only packages with caddy for Envy 17. While e.g. a cable for the DV7 costs about $8 only.

    Any ideas/hints?
