    Hi there,

I've been having a couple of problems with my Envy recently. In fairly graphic intensive games, my GPU sits at temps ~90C and often my computer will automatically shut down, showing a BIOS warning that the temps are too high.
Even at idle, my temps range at around 58-60C.

Also, I've been experiencing issues with the right-side USB port - Sometimes, it will cut out and it will not work at all. This is fairly annoying as I have my mouse plugged into that port. However, I see that when it doesn't work, I see that the mouse receives power intermittently and the LEDs on it flash on and off. A restart to the system usually fixes this.

I'm wondering if I should re-apply thermal paste with Arctic Silver to deal with the overheating or just call support and let them deal with the problems altogether? Has anyone else experienced similar issues?

    Thanks in advance.

When I had my envy 14, it would overheat like yours.

I applied some new thermal paste and all the overheating issues went away.

I think the highest it got when pushing the GPU to its limits was around 60.

Did re-applying thermal paste void your warranty? I will try to give support a call tomorrow morning.

It doesn't void the warranty as fat as I'm aware.

But re-pasting is the first thing I would do to an overheating machine
