My 15-3040nr came with 8GB of ram. Wondering if anyone has upgraded to 16gb of ram? what kind did you use? Did you notice any difference in performance?

Assuming the same happens in the Envy 15 that happens in the Envy 17, the service manual says that RAM over 8GB drops down from 1600Mhz to 1333Mhz. They're the same chipset, I believe, so it should hold true for both. That may affect performance in some way, since it is running slower. There are some posts in the Envy 17 thread discussing this, with the manual saying one thing and one user saying different in argument with another.
