Selectively deleting information and posts is morally wrong and a no-no in a "public," forum. Indeed, t's not publicly owned but it is a publically accessable and serachable forum; ANYmanipulation is... poor ethics to say the least.

It is common for most to get better battery life when downclocking the GPU? I have downclocked it to 50/100 per JJB's posts with the AMD clock tool and really didn't notice an increase in battery life. I didn't time myself with a stop watch or anything, but didn't have a real world feeling of increased usage.

Also, have you used VLC and noticed any difference in cpu/gpu usage from the windows media player you outlined above?

okashira : What were your gains in battery life while watching movies? Any way to measure power consumption before and after the AMD tool is used?

BatteryBar will show you power draw from the battery in real time. Be sure to turn statistical time estimation off in order to see real time data.

BatteryBar only measures power drain from the battery, and the charge rate of the battery while it is being fed juice. At idle my Envy drains the battery around 22k mWh.
