I have found an issue with my Envy 15 screen. The brightness adjustment from the maximum to maximum -1 setting is broken.

The brightness drops by a huge amount from 228nits to 130 nits (almost 40%) where I expect the drop to be linear across all the brightness settings.

I have been in contact with HP about this issue, at first they agreed with me that this is a problem. Later on they changed their tune and started to claim that the 40% brightness drop was actually "normal" and that my "expectations were too high"

    1) Does anyone else suffer from this problem
    2) If HP refuses to fix it, any idea how I can resolve this issue myself? It is a problem for me if I cant calibrate the brightness settings across all my systems.
