The trackpad of my Envy 15 totally stopped working. I have tried everything. Uninstalling the driver and reinstalling. The bios is the latest version as well. Seems to be actual hardware failure and while it is only 8 months old and covered I would prefer to exhaust all of the options before I take it for service as I use it for work and would not like to have it gone for days (or weeks).

Any suggestions I might have not tried yet?

Try an OS restore back to a previous restore point? Does an external mouse work?
