    Hey guys -

I was just shopping for a new laptop, and wanted to price out an ENVY 15 with some specs. Being in Canada, I went to HP.ca and hit up the ENVY 15 page. However, there doesn't seem to be anywhere where I can change anything on the laptop.

Over on the US site, I can pick the OS, HDD, RAM, and processors amongst tens of other things. All I get on the Canadian site is the Envy 15 1050CA model.

Am I not clicking in the right places, or do Canadians have the short end of the stick?

    L.

I made the same observation and called HP. She confirmed that the only model available in Canada for the Envy 15 is the pre-packaged 1050CA.

Yes HP hates Canadians or at least doesn't think we are smart enough to handle different configs! I guess a cross-border shopping trip is in store or even better a LOCAL trip to the Apple store.

I called HP yesterday and ask the lady when the Envy 15 with i5 and HD5830 will be available in Canada. At first, she didn’t even know what I was talking about. I told her to check their US site.

I really want the new Envy 15, but at the same time I need a new laptop soon and I'm not paying 2 199$ for the i7.

Will retails across the border have custom configured envys? That seems to be the only option as of right now...to go across the border and buy the new updated specs with great prices.

Don't suppose anyone has an update to this, HP Canada really is dropping the ball on this one, why do they even exist? re-branded website with less products :O Someone go tell them that the CAD is at 0.95 US and a $2 199 Envy doesn't cut it. Dell.ca laptops are priced practically on par with US counterparts. If the Envy wasn't so damn sexy I'd already pull the plug.
