    Envy 15 noise coming from bottom - SSD?

    Got my new Envy 15 today and upon bootup i heard this strange noise coming from the bottom of the body. Noise would go away after tapping it a few times.


    Any ideas?

    Talked to tech support and it appears I received a defected unit with a bad fan. Sent it back via FedEx and should be getting a replacement in about 3 1/2 weeks.


    Such a beautiful machine and I only got to play with it for a few hours.

    Just got my replacement from HP today and man oh man do i love this laptop. No cosmetic issues (1st one had the whole usb dent) .. screen is gorgeous and no weird noise. Runs like a dream.

    i7, 8GB, 160 SSD, 1080 IPS
