    Hii
I want to replace my display panel since its broken (fullHD, envy 15 1100t)
This is NOT the current gen envy15

Here a picture of my display panel
    http://i50.tinypic.com/xbn3g7.jpg

It seems this is the right panel to buy:
    https://www.screencountry.com/index.php?section=products&part_number=LP156WF1(TL)(E1))

But i dont live in the USA...
which means i will have to pay extra tax to import it , 35$ shipping costs, more chance on broken display (+extra costs fedex for fragile objets), warrenty problems, etc
so the panel I need is LP156WF1(TL)(E1) in europe

but somehow on ebay there seems to be LP156WF1(TL)(E1) panels with only a LEFT connector??? Will this also work? I mean, mine is a RIGHT connector, not??

Also, what the hell is tall that grey stuff? do I have to take it off to replace the screen? Because its quite good taped (for a reason?)

    Thanks

The eBay ones with the connector on the other side will work, but you will have to fold the cable for it to fit whilst making sure that it doesn't push out and distort the panel when you screw it back onto the lid - its position at the bottom of the panel means that if it does push the panel out, the bezel will not sit flush and you will notice that.

The other thing you might want to consider in that the screen you linked to is a compatible screen and therefore may not be an LG panel. best to ask the seller beforehand. Pay using PayPal or a credit card if you can - that goes with eBay as well.

Not sure what you mean by the grey stuff. The cable has a cover around it which you should not take off if that's what you mean by it.

    Thank you for your input.

I asked the seller, he will also send a inverter cable for right connectors.
The grey stuff is the on the image I posted, that 15to20cm stroke.
And that orange patch on the connector? do I have to remove that or is that the only thing i have to remove?

The connector should be the same 40 pin type if you got the LG panel, so the connector is not needed unless you have bought the wrong panel or the seller has made a mistake in his description of the product.

The grey stuff is part of the cable and will come off with it, the orange stuff on the connector just keeps it stuck down to the panel - keeps it from moving. Transfer all of it across to the new panel.
