    Hi

I don't know why but sometimes my wireless network disconnects on my envy.
Sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes after 3 hours.
However, when I reboot I gain my internetconnection back!
But afcourse no fun to reboot every time (certainly not if you're ingame)

Important note: other computers here does not have that problem, so it's not that i have internet problems elsewhere on the same network.

Do I miss some drivers or something? I have the 1200 model.
    specs
    i5 520M
    5830M
    128GB SSD

    Device manager:
    Network adapters:
    atheros AR8131
    Cisco anyconnect VPN
    Intel centrino advanced N6200AGN
Microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter #5

    Any help?

I had the same issue once or twice. Never found the cause. However after updating to latest WiFi drivers from Intel's website, the problem is gone.

Mine has been doing the same thing. Loading pages was extremely slow.

I went into the Device Manager, right clicked on the Intel 6200 and selected Properties.

Go to the Advanced Tab and:

Change Channel Width to Auto for both 5GHz and 2.4GHz.
Make sure 802.11n Mode is enabled.
Make sure Throughput Enhancement is Enabled.
Make sure Transmit Power is on 5. Highest.
Make sure wireless Value is set to 6. 802.11a/b/g.

    That fixed my problems.

Ok, thanks for the help, realy appreciated!
I did the changes Mr.Mischief, the only option throughput enhancement I cannot find?
    ad hoc channel
    ad hoc qos mode
    fat channel intolerant
    mixed mode protection
    roaming agressiveness

is it in one of these options?

I cannot test if it works now (will be home 17feb)

You might not have it, which is ok. The others should do the trick. Go to Intel.com and download the latest 6200 driver, that should fix connection issues.

If you're trying to use an external monitor and close the lid then the performance DROPS SIGNIFICANTLY.
