    Success!

I have relocated my Logitech USB Unifying Nano mouse receiver internally in the mini-PCIe slot where the WiFi Audio card used to be. It takes a specific converter card that can be purchased on the internet and removal of the WiFi audio card. Pictures below.

The card with the green check mark is the second card I purchased and is known to work. I purchased one prior to this and the receiver would not fit because it was too long to lay down into the mini-PCIe slot. Make sure you purchase the exact card: PM3U Mini PCI-E Card to USB 2.0 Adapter .

    Installation pics:

Card to remove is under the hard drive caddy so you need to remove the hard drive first.

Loop antennas from removed card back through plastic area and electrical tape the ends to prevent shorting out anything else.

Carefully break extension tabs from adapter you purchased so the sides are shorter (half length). Insert USB nano receiver and insert into slot then screw down.

    Replaced card should look like:

Your hard drive or SSD might be very snug unless you have a ridge like this Intel 520 SSD. The ridge makes the drive a little more shallow in the middle and helps to clear the decreased depth for the HDD caddy.

    That's pretty cool, nice post.
Be hard pressed to give up wireless connectivity for although if no other spare slots.
Think my dv4 has a empty msata slot which would fit the bill

Oh, I only removed the Wireless Audio card, not the Wireless Network card.

I did this on my Envy 17t-3200 as well. I removed the Wireless Audio Card also but I will see how it goes as I used the wireless audio card every once in a while but I have a usb version of it as well.... I wish it would work in the slot for the mSATA card but no dice...
