Hello all, I've been reading around on these forums a bit regarding my new HP Envy 15-3040, and I've joined to see if I can get some help with a problem I've recently been encountering while trying to stream video on my Envy. On both Youtube and Netflix streaming, the audio and video will both slow down considerably and lag to the point where it makes the video unwatchable. It seems to happen even if I disable HD playback, and also seems to make the whole computer slow down for a minute or two after I close the browser before returning to normal.
I feel that my Envy should be able to easily handle a few videos on Youtube without problems like this, so I have come to see if anyone can offer me some assistance. I did try to download new drivers for my computer a little while ago, but I don't know if I did it right or not.If you guys think the drivers are the problem, will someone instruct me on the proper way to find out what drivers I'd need to install and how to do it correctly?
Sorry if the question has already been answered elsewhere, I searched around a bit but didn't find anything.
Thanks!

have you updated all your wireless drivers? Look to the drivers section in this forum and download those.. I had a lot of similar issues with audio tweaking whenever I streamed anything because of the wireless.

I checked, and my wireless driver wasn't updated. I updated it, and hopefully that'll fix the issues I've been having. Thanks for the advice.

Nope, it didn't get any better. I can't even play Empire Total War anymore because of the audio and video lag when before I could play it with everything set to High.
Anyone have any suggestions? I re-updated the AMD driver and the chipset driver, but nothing has worked so far.
Envy 15-3040nr video/auido lag while watching video?
