My new Envy has been pretty much close to perfect - there's just one little fly in my ointment: When it wakes from sleep (or standby) the Intel WiFi takes consistently up to a whole minute to reassociate with the access point. Anybody else have this long delay? It's really annoying having to wait that long to reconnect to the internet on wake.

That seems pretty slow.. Have you already tried upgrading the drivers for the WiFi card?

Yes I have! I've tried the factory image, clean install, different power profiles, and two APs - Apple Airport Extreme and a cheap Netgear N router.

On cold boot, the Wifi comes up right away and works well. It just takes a minute after login upon wake from sleep. Very strange.

Same issue, takes minutes to reconnect to wifi from sleep. I'm still searching for the fix, upgraded to latest driver. Intel Ultimate-N 6300 wifi adapter.

I'm not sure which fixed it, but...

    A) device manager > network adapters > uninstall intel wifi adapter, and the two virtual wifi miniports, reboot, let windows reinstall drivers

    B) wireless network properties of the wifi network > uncheck everything except for "connect automatically" so uncheck > preferred network, SSID not broadcasting, enable intel connection settings...

C) Open Network and Sharing Center > Choose homegroup and sharing options > remove homegroup (this will kill PC/media network sharing)

Now when my HP wakes from sleep, my wifi is back up immediately after logging back in. 5Ghz/2.4Ghz dual band

    Thanks, NapalmDeath.
    C) was the solution for me.
Also make sure that windows does not attempt to connect to other hotspots, this can make connecting slow.
