One of our Envy 15t (2nd gen, with AMD 5830 graphics) is displaying a weird behavior:
When booting and pressing F10, instead of entering the BIOS settings, it is stuck, heats up and after several minutes shuts down. When first pressing ESC, and then F10, same behavior.
BIOS was F.29.
The system still boots fine.
I then upgraded to F.2B - update succeeded according to the upgrade tool.
But the problem remains.
No meddling with the BIOS was done (no modded BIOS, nothing funky).
What would be feasible steps to get back into the BIOS? (e.g. right now network boot is enabled, which I do want to disable again; and other things).
I do not want to try to e.g. shorten the CMOS backup battery because then I might not be able to change the settings in the bios at all, or maybe it just will not even boot up (because of trying to access the bios and not succeeding).
Has anyone seen a similar problem and found a resolution?

Do any of the other keys work? F9, F11 etc...

I flashed the BIOS also again, no change.
Well, e.g. recovery does not work since there is no recovery partition anymore, but HP_TOOLS is present and diagnostics work for example. -
I doubt reflashing the bios would work, without changes to the platform.ini file for the flashing program. Overwrite platform.ini with this version, tell me if this works.
View attachment platform.zip
This force flashes all areas of the bios, with the contents of the new bios file.
