    I priced out the envy keyboard from parts surfer, it's about $108,

    has anyone successfully swapped over the keyboard to a dv6t?

    I think there's a huge thread about keyboard and screen swapping. There was rumor that other DV6 models had ports on the motherboard for connecting the backlights to but I think it varies for each model. That, or it doesn't exist. I'm looking to do the same mod but there aren't parts available. Additionally, I think the keyboards are different.

    I found the part no from the envy user manual. From the 17, I'll have to open my dv6t back up and see if the backlight connection is there.

    Any chance you know where that thread is? I had a hard time locating it.
