Hi, Im new with this tech of mSATA and SSD, I was checking the maint manual for the Envy 17, and saw few videos and adding a mSATA looks easier and faster than a SSD, I know that a SSD is faster.
Could anyone recomend me a good mSATA looking something 64gbs~120gbs depending on prices, and could tell me about those clones kit(what should I get, what adapters I might need), can I use one to the partition that have windows on it?
Thanks in advance!

Just a note that the mSATA slot on the Envy 17 has to be used as a boot drive. It won't allow for RST caching, it has to be a boot drive and only a boot drive.
With that in mind, there are numerous options to pick from, such as the Crucial m4, which was just released today. -
EDIT: oh my first post have some redacting issues, I meant, a kit to clone the partition that I have with windows to the mSATA, if it's possible.

Nice, nice, my only concern now is the cloning thing.. or clean install of windows and the activation.

The SSD Tool Box is highly recommended by AU4U.

If anyone does find a way to bypass booting from the mSATA via BIOS or something, please do share it! I've got a 128 GB mSATA I can't use because I am booting from an SSD SATA (and it's encrypted which is preventing bootloader on mSATA from booting to it).

Mushkin 120gb SATA III for me. + 2x Corsair SSD 240gb SATAIII, though one runs @ SATA II

> Download a W7 version from Digital River, burn to disk, OR if you have a windows retail disk or Recovery Disk skip this step.
> Remove SSD, HDD's, all of them, install mSATA
> Boot
> Nothing will be found, install W7 disk to opti drive, install W7 as OS
> Install W7 Image Disk to opti drive, restore your system, any faults will be duplicated at this point.
> Migrate all your stuff from the SSD to another storage media via USB
> Reformat your SSD, this will wipe it clean
> Install to bay
> Done
Simple is easier.
NOTE: Even though you can DL any version W7 you want, the key on your notebook will only activate the associated version,,,DON'T GET GREEDY, YOU WILL BE DOING ANOTHER OS INSTALL IF YOU DO
