i installed windows 7 professional and downloaded the wlan driver (
    sp53541.exe ) from hp.com.

When I tried to install the driver a console window popped up for a second and nothing else happened. So I looked into the intel subfolder and executed these files:

    sp53541\intel\win7\s64\drivers\dpinst64.exe and
    sp53541\intel\win7\s64\install\setup.exe

according to the installation wizard of dpinst64.exe the drivers were successfully installed and these 2 driver names were listed as ready to use: Intel (NETwLLv64)net (10/07/2010 13.4.0.139)
    Intel (NETwNs64)net (05/01/2011 14.1.1.3)

the setup.exe is a installer for Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software. I selected all components to be installed: the driver, the wifi software and the wifi connection utility software.

The intel wireless troubleshooter then reports the wireless network driver is not installed in the system and the WiFi utility tool doesnt find a wireless network adapter, altough it is switched on.

Has someone here already had this problem?
    Hope anyone can help me.

If your Wireless card is the Intel 6200N, then the 14.1 drivers won't work for you...nor me. Get the 14.0 drivers and those should work. The 6200N is not covered with 14.1

Glad to hear that. They obviously started shipping some of the Envy's with a different wireless card. The 6200N is in the majority of machines.
