    Hey guys.

Basically, I want to move the 500gb HD to the 2nd slot and put a 120gb Vertex 2 SSD in the primary slot. However, I will obviously need to do a clean install, is everything on HP's website to do a clean install and get 3D working? Or are there some issues?

Well I did the same thing....kinda. I moved the primary 500gb to the secondary slot and installed a Momentus xt in the primary. So I had to do a clean install.

All the drivers you need to get 3d working are either on HP's website or in the C:\swsetup folder. It went smooth for me ...(with a few wrinkles) but now I have a clean install with everything working and I love it!

I did the same with a 100GB inferno ssd. I moved the 500GB to secondary slot after purchasing the kit from newmodeus.com. However, instead of a clean install, I used the 7 DVDs I created from the recovery media creation to restore to the SSD. It took several hours to create the media and restore but the result is about 30GB used out of 100GB in the restore with all applications and drivers back the same as shipped on the 500GB but without the recovery partition.

Clean install or Recovery is up to you. I didn't find any cpu robbing applications and services that required me to do a clean install.
