I don't think my subwoofer is working on my Envy 17 3D. When playing music, there is no difference in sound whether or not I cover the vent for the subwoofer. And, my sound control panel does not appear to have any level settings for the subwoofer.
Can anyone verify that they hear a difference with the subwoofer on the Envy 17 3D?

The subwoofer on the laptop isnt really that helpful, as I read somewhere you need a much bigger one to enchance the listening quality.
But yes I can feel that it is working as for example when I listen to rap or just beats like this YouTube - Hard G-Rap Beat for all Rappers out there (Free Download) and put it to high volume I can feel the subwoofer when I put my hands on there. -
Go to Control Panel > Type "Sound" in Search Box > Click Sound > Double Click Speakers and Headphones > Levels > Click Mono Mix.
Make sure you do this while playing some music in the background. If you notice a difference in sound while toggling it, then the subwoofer is working. Perhaps you are expecting too much out of a 2" speaker. -
thanks. I hear a difference so it must be working...
