When I installed (and then reinstalled) Office 2010 on my Envy 17, the menu headings in the office programs are cut off at the sides. Only happens on the Envy, not on other PC's. Then yesterday I tried to install IE9, and the title bar and scroll bar are not displayed. The space where they should appear is there, and if you happen to click in the right spot, they work, but it's just blank where they (the scroll arrow and the title bar components, such as min, max and close icons) should be. I've installed it on other PC's with no problem. I'm running default resolution and DPI. If I play with those settings, the Office problem is slightly better but still there and it doesn't affect the IE issue at all. And I do want to run maximum resolution as recommended. Any advice? It is the 5850 card of course. -John

I finally fixed this problem by changing the desktop background to a solid color.
